Bridge of Hope Student Gets Admission for BDS

Bridge of Hope Student Gets Admission for BDS

Santhosh is a graduate student from one Bridge of Hope center in Andhra Pradesh. He joined at Bridge of Hope in 2005.

While growing up, his father worked in the private sector and earned 3,000 rupees per month, with which he took care of all the needs of their family and Santhosh’s studies. But soon, he no longer was able to handle everything with the money he earned.

Seeing the need of the family, Santhosh and his younger brother were enrolled into a nearby Bridge of Hope center. They started receiving school supplies, hygiene items and food from the center, which was a great relief to their parents. They also got help and support in their studies from the tutors and staff.

Santhosh had very less interest in his studies and he always skipped his classes due to this reason. But with the constant counselling and help of the Bridge of Hope staff, he started going school regularly. He also showed a remarkable improvement in his studies.

His dream was to become a doctor. With the support and encouragement given by the staff, he studied well and scored 17,271st rank out of 1,32,000 in the EAMCET entrance test. And he got admission for BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgeon) as he had always dreamed.

“I am so happy to achieve my goal through Bridge of Hope,” says Sandeep. “The staff here encouraged me to have a dream in my life and I am thankful to them for all the help and support they have given me to reach to my goal.”

His parents also thanked Bridge of Hope for being a great impact in their son’s life.
